An outstanding Victorian slate surround of epic proportions, featuring a pair of large reeded columns with ionic capitals rising to a quartet of fluted corbel supports and a panelled frieze. This is a magnificent surround that pictures do not do justice. The mantle shelf measures 74” wide and has a depth of 14”. The overall height is 51½” with an inside measurement of 38” x 38”. Priced at SOLD Hand stripped and polished to a lustrous black finish, this is one of the best slate surrounds that we have ever had. A superb surround – not to be missed. Viewing essential.
