Edwardian slate surround (ASS-1395) A magnificent Edwardian slate fireplace surround with fluted legs rising to fluted bracket capitals with gold stencilling and a pair of black enamelled bosses and a central frieze lavishly decorated with gold scroll work. The surround is in very good condition with its original marbled finish in virtually unmarked condition, we have only needed to repolish the mantle shelf, the rest has just been cleaned and polished, a rare find in this condition. Measures 68”wide x 50”high with an opening 38”wide x 38”high. Priced at £1300.00.
